Production Coordinator
Columbia University Athletics Communications and Multimedia Internship
During the Fall of 2019, I studied in New York City through Ithaca College's ICNYC Program where you complete an internship and take a few courses. I interned at Columbia University in the Athletic Department of Communications during that time as an Athletic Communications and Multimedia intern. I produced, recorded, and edited videos for Columbia's athletics website and social media.
I conducted interviews with players and coaches to create feature and highlight videos that I edited together using b-roll. One example is that weekly, I interviewed Head Football Coach Al Bagnoli discussing the football season for social media. On game days for various sports teams, I recorded footage, edited live photos, and created graphics. I also operated LiveBook GFX for the ESPN+ broadcast of the men's and women's soccer games.
Graphics I Created from My Internship:
Big East Media Day
Through operating LiveBook GFX for the ESPN+ broadcast of Columbia University soccer, I met the play-by-play broadcaster for the games who also broadcasted for the Big East.
By networking with him, I was offered a volunteer position to work the Big East Media Day for men's and women's basketball. My role for the day was to clip the live broadcast into smaller videos with the most important and entertaining information that could be posted on all of their social media platforms.
